On 4 March 2022, the Ministry of Infrastructure, acting as the public transport authority, issued Decision No 010-37/2019/49 on the introduction of free tickets for Ukrainian refugees, pursuant to Article 78(2) of the Decree on the method of providing regularly scheduled public bus services as a service of general economic interest, on concessions for such service and on the integrated ticketing system (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 29/19, 79/21 and 109/21).
Persons who present a Ukrainian passport or identity card travel free of charge on Slovenian Railways trains in the territory of Slovenian Railways. Passengers receive a free ticket, on the basis of which they have the same rights and obligations as other passengers.
