{"id":35689,"date":"2024-05-14T10:44:39","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T10:44:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/potniski2024.razvija.se\/obvezne-rezervacije-za-mednarodne-vlake-v-nemcijo-od-1-6-do-1-9-2024\/"},"modified":"2024-06-01T16:09:01","modified_gmt":"2024-06-01T16:09:01","slug":"mandatory-reservations-for-international-trains-to-germany-from-1-june-to-1-september-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/potniski.sz.si\/en\/mandatory-reservations-for-international-trains-to-germany-from-1-june-to-1-september-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory seat reservations for international trains to Germany from 1 June to 1 September 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Due to the increased occupancy of international trains and the European Football Championship, the German Federal Railways (DB) has introduced mandatory seat reservations on international-cross-border trains.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the above, in the period <strong>from June 1 to September 1, 2024<\/strong>, seat reservations are mandatory on all international cross-border trains in traffic with Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trains for which reservation is mandatory are marked in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fahrplan.oebb.at\/webapp\/?language=en_GB#!P|null!H|91917\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">international timetable search engine<\/a><\/strong>. Mandatory reservation applies only to cross-border journeys, for journeys by trains in internal traffic (on the Slovenian Railways network) a reservation is not mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refunds or exchanges of reservations are not permitted, and the passenger can only travel on the train for which he has a reservation (a reservation cannot be exchanged for travel on another train). Mandatory reservation also applies to holders of Interrail\/Eurail, FIP or tickets issued under other offers (Sparschiene, FME&#8230;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A passenger who travels without a reservation on a train for which a reservation is mandatory will be charged a fee of EUR 30 on the train.<\/strong> If the train is overcrowded, the passenger must also leave the train according to the instructions of the train staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A passenger who misses a connection with a train for which a reservation is mandatory can obtain a free seat reservation for the next possible train on which seats are available, or seat reservation can be <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fahrplan.oebb.at\/webapp\/?language=en_GB#!P|null!H|91917\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">purchased online<\/a><\/strong>.
