S\u017d 610 is a class of diesel-electric multiple units of Slovenske \u017eeleznice.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Twenty-one diesel-electric multiple units of the Stadler FLIRT brand were manufactured and delivered to Slovenian Railways between 2020 and 2022 (S\u017d 610, subclass 000). The multiple unit is very similar to the electric version, with the addition of a diesel powertrain. The manufacturer is the Swiss company Stadler Rail. The multiple unit is low-floor, the maximum speed is 140 km\/h. Each multiple unit has 171 seats (of which 12 are in first class) and 134 standing places. FLIRT is an acronym for \u201cFast Light Intercity and Regional Train\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All seats are equipped with a 220V socket, and seats in 1st class also have a USB port, a reading light and tables. The multiple units are equipped with a wireless Wi-Fi network, a modern passenger information system with information displays and an announcement system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class S\u017d 610 multiple units represents the first modern diesel-electric multiple unit \u00a0in Slovenia, which has improved passenger transport on non-electrified regional lines. In 2023, a contract was signed for twenty additional Stadler FLIRT diesel\u2011electric passenger trainsets, which were delivered gradually from June 2025 to March 2026. These trainsets (subclass 610\u20111xx) feature several improvements and pre\u2011installation elements that allow the trainsets to be upgraded to bimodal operation..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bycycle transport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Although passenger train has space for bicycles, bicycle transport is only allowed on those trains (train number) that are marked with a bicycle pictogram <\/strong>in the timetable search engine<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
