During extensive construction works on the Gorenjska line infrastructure, the route between Kranj and Jesenice has been completely reconstructed, and the Karavanke railway tunnel has been renovated.
Due to final construction works on the section between Lesce Bled and Jesenice stations, limited train speeds are required, which (in addition to the fact that it is a single-track line) also causes delays in rail passenger transport. The investor, contractors and all employees of the Slovenian Railways are striving to keep traffic disruptions to a minimum and to prepare the route for the usual speeds as soon as possible.
