LJUBLJANA IN THE SUMMER VIBE
Visit our capital, the main city of all Slovenians. Its well-maintained and pleasant city center gives it a youthful vibe, and the rich offering of cultural and sports events, along with numerous experiences, ensures that you simply cannot be bored in Ljubljana. Amidst the lively city atmosphere, you can also rest and cool off in the many well-kept green areas and city parks.

An unforgettable visit to the Slovenian Railway Museum, located just over a kilometer or a pleasant 15-minute walk from the main railway station, is also highly recommended.

RELAXED SUMMER MARIBOR
Visit the capital of Styria, the city of the world’s oldest vine, which inspires with its rich history, diverse culture, and the sincere warmth of its people. Take a stroll through the pleasant city center, the promenade along the Drava River (Lent), and the nearby picturesque wine-growing hills. With the regular city bus line G6, you can easily reach the embrace of the mighty green forests of Pohorje, where summer temperatures are much more pleasant. If you bring a bicycle with you, you can embark on an adventure along the Drava River, on the Drava Cycling Route.

TO SUMMER CELJE, THE CITY OF COUNTS
The moment you step off the train and walk through the main building of Celje railway station, you will find yourself in the beautifully arranged old town center. Celje is also known as the city of counts due to one of the most powerful European noble families. After exploring the town center, you can head to the Old Castle of Celje or the nearby green surroundings and pleasant, well-maintained cycling paths for an active break. In nearby Žalec (take a train towards Velenje), there is the world attraction Beer Fountain, which will pleasantly refresh you in the summer temperatures.

TO NOVO GORICA, EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE 2025
Nova Gorica, the youngest Slovenian city, and the neighboring Italian city of Gorizia are the first borderless European Capitals of Culture in history. You can reach Nova Gorica with several train connections (transfer at Jesenice or Sežana station). On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, there is also a regular direct train Ljubljana – Jesenice – Nova Gorica (in the morning to Nova Gorica and in the afternoon back to Ljubljana).

SUNNY KOPER
Take a train to the largest city in Slovenian Istria and stroll through the well-maintained old town center, where you can explore various cultural landmarks, enjoy a good coffee in one of the city’s cafes, or walk by the sea and through the city park along the Semedela promenade. With a bicycle, you can continue your journey on well-maintained cycling paths all the way to Croatia, and other coastal towns are accessible by well-organized bus transport.

BY TRAIN TO THE SPAS
The spa train provides a direct connection by train from Ljubljana to Thermana Laško (Laško station) and further to Terme Olimia (Atomske Toplice Hotel station). Both spas are located in the immediate vicinity of the railway station.
