Scooters and electric scooters (e-scooters) are part of micromobility development and a more sustainable way of travelling.
Transporting scooters or e-scooters on trains is allowed and free of charge.
- Keep your scooter with you on the train so that it does not obstruct passage or compromise your safety or safety of other passengers.
- You must load the scooter onto the train yourself, look after it during the journey, and unload it yourself.
- Transport on trains and replacement buses is only permitted for electric scooters with original and completely undamaged batteries. E-scooters must not be modified in any way.
- The electric scooter must be technically faultless and safe for transport.
- All parts of the electric scooter, especially the battery system, must be in the original condition specified by the manufacturer.
- The electric scooter must be switched off during transport on trains and replacement buses.
- Charging electric scooters on trains and replacement buses is not allowed. Charging batteries during travel represents a significant safety risk and is therefore strictly prohibited.
- The passenger (owner/user of the electric scooter) bears full responsibility for any damage caused to themselves, other passengers, or the carrier.
If the above rules are not followed or in case of doubt, the carrier reserves the right to refuse the transport of an electric scooter. We kindly ask all electric scooter owners/users for understanding and strict compliance with the above conditions—together we ensure a safe and pleasant journey for all passengers.
This type of scooter can be placed on the train under or next to the seats (where possible), in a way that does not obstruct passage or compromise the safety of other passengers. Scooters must not be placed on seats or on luggage racks above the seats.
If you are travelling with a non-foldable scooter on Stadler trains, we recommend that you keep the scooter next to you and sit on a folding seat (these seats are located near the bicycle area).
On other trains, we recommend that you keep the scooter next to you and sit near the entrance/exit doors so that you do not obstruct passage or compromise your safety or safety of other passengers.
Scooters must not obstruct passage or compromise passenger safety.
