According to the notice from Hungarian Railways (MÁV-START), between March 24 and May 9, 2025, IC trains 250 and 251 will operate from/to Budapest-Kelenföld station (instead of Budapest-Keleti) as follows:
- IC train 250, which runs from Budapest via Graz (A), Maribor to Ljubljana, will depart from Budapest-Kelenföld station at 16:16 (instead of Budapest-Keleti station at 16:13), and
- IC train 251, which runs from Ljubljana via Maribor and Graz (A) to Budapest, will arrive at the final station Budapest-Kelenföld at 13:57 (instead of Budapest-Keleti station at 13:44).
Hungarian Railways (MÁV-START) has also informed us that from 22. 4. to 29. 4. 2025, due to construction work on the Szombathely-Gyor line, the timetable of trains IC 250/251 will be changed, as follows:
Direction Slovenia – Austria – Hungary:
Train IC 251 runs according to the valid timetable to Szombathely station (10.53), a replacement bus runs between Szombathely (11.10) and Gyor (12.45), and from Gyor station (12.56) to Budapest Keleti (14.19) the transport is carried out by train RJX 61;
Direction Hungary – Austria – Slovenia:
From Budapest Keleti station (15.40) to Gyor station (17.00) transport is provided by train RJX 68, between Gyor stations (17.10) and Szombathely (18.45) there is a replacement bus service, from Szombathely station (19.06) there is train IC 250 according to the valid timetable.
