Due to extensive construction works and renovation of the Ljubljana railway station, some trains marked in the timetable search engine run to/from temporary platform along Dunajska cesta (track 94) or temporary platforms (tracks 95, 96, 97, 98) at the intersection of Masarykova cesta and Njegoševa ulica.
Current information about the track number for each train (departure or arrival) is available at: Train arrivals and departures at the station.
TRACK 94: You can view the links a map of the location of the temporary platforms (visual representation), instructions for accessing a specific platform (track 94), which is located on the west side of the overpass over Dunajska cesta (Google Maps), and a video of the route to an individual platform (track 94).
TRACK 95, 96, 97, 98: You can view the links a map of the location of the temporary platforms (visual representation), instructions for accessing temporary platforms (tracks 95, 96, 97, 98), located at the intersection of Masarykova cesta and Njegoševa ulica (Google Maps) and video of the route to the temporary platforms (tracks 95, 96, 97, 98).
There are no ticket machines on the temporary platforms. Passengers must obtain a ticket before boarding the train (purchase at a ticket office, in the Grem z vlakom application or online store), otherwise a surcharge is required to purchase a ticket on the train. More information.

Due to high temperatures and in order to ensure safety in railway traffic, the public railway infrastructure manager has introduced preventive speed restrictions on certain sections. The restrictions will apply 22 June - 2 July (12:00 – 19:00):

Numerous investment works are underway on the Slovenian rail network, which in the long term will bring opportunities for better public rail transport, more possible train connections, renewed stations and stops, etc.
During construction works, there are various service disruptions which require the organisation of rail replacement bus services, the introduction of slower train speeds past construction sites, etc., and consequent deviations from train timetables or delays. You can check the specific traffic situation in the information collected below and in the timetable finder.

Due to the extensive phase of investment construction works and the complete closure of Ljubljana station, trains on 4 and 5 July to and from Zidani Most operate only to/from temporary platforms at the intersection of Masarykova Street and Njegoševa Street (tracks 95, 96, 97, 98) near Ljubljana railway station, as indicated in the timetable search engine.
It is at least a 10-minute walk (600 m) from the central station building of the Ljubljana railway station (Trg Osvobodilne fronte 7) to the aforementioned temporary platforms.

This notice applies to passengers traveling from Ljubljana towards Zidani Most / Maribor / Dobova. For passengers starting their journey in Ljubljana and traveling towards Jesenice / Divača, a replacement bus service has been arranged. The replacement buses are located at Ljubljana railway station, next to track 1.
For transit passengers (arriving in Ljubljana and continuing their journey via Ljubljana station towards Jesenice / Divača), the replacement bus is organized immediately upon disembarking from the train at the temporary platforms (tracks 95, 96, 97, 98) and vice versa.

There are no ticket machines on the temporary platforms. ZIDANI MOST - LJUBLJANA:
The train set of RG 619 from Maribor joins the train set of RG 630 from Dobova at Zidani Most and continues towards Ljubljana. Therefore, passengers from train RG 619 do not need to transfer to train RG 630 for travel towards Ljubljana.
The train set of RG 632 from Dobova joins the train set of RG 607 from Maribor at Zidani Most and continues towards Ljubljana. Therefore, passengers from train RG 632 do not need to transfer to train RG 607 for travel towards Ljubljana.
LJUBLJANA - ZIDANI MOST:
The train set RG 618 from Ljubljana to Zidani Most runs merged together with the train set RG 631 (Ljubljana - Zidani Most - Dobova). At the Zidani Most station, both mentioned train sets separate. The first one travels in the direction of Dobova (train RG 631), while the second one continues its journey in the direction of Maribor (train RG 618). Passengers do not need to change trains, but please be careful to choose the appropriate train set for the desired direction of travel (first train set: Direction Dobova, second train set: Direction Maribor). Since the beginning of 2026, the renovation of the remaining section of the Ljubljana - Borovnica line, the renovation of Brezovica and Preserje stations, and the construction of the new Vnanje Gorice station have been underway. During this time, occasional train delays are possible due to speed restrictions passing the construction site or closure of individual tracks as well as adjusted passenger guidance at the station. A new LPP bus line has been established to/from Ljubljana main station:
SŽ Šiška bus stop (next to the new temporary railway station Ljubljana Šiška) - SŽ Kolodvor bus stop (in front of Ljubljana main railway station).
The bus line has intermediate stops at the stops Tivoli, Gosposvetska and Bavarski dvor.

It is at least a 10-minute walk (600 m) from the central station building of Ljubljana Railway Station (Trg Osvobodilne fronte 7) to the temporary platform on track 94.

Vehicle loading at the Nova Gorica station is completed 15 minutes before the departure of the motorail train, while at the other stations (Most na Soči, Podbrdo, and Bohinjska Bistrica) it is 10 minutes before the departure of the motorail train.
Passengers with personal vehicles are kindly asked to arrive at the loading ramp at the station on time (at least 10 minutes before the regular departure of the motorail train), as loading vehicles onto the motorail train immediately before departure is not possible.

The train set RG 1608 (Ljubljana - Celje - Podčetrtek - Imeno) runs coupled with the train set of RG 1642 (Ljubljana - Celje - Ormož) on the route Ljubljana - Celje. At the Celje station, these two train sets separate: one continues towards Ormož (train RG 1642), and the other towards Podčetrtek / Imeno (train RG 1608).
