The renovated old market granary on Aškerčev Square is a place to discover the past and present of Laško and its surroundings.

The permanent exhibition “Laško – A Journey Through Time” reveals the history of the area from prehistoric times to the present day. The “Brewing and Spa Tourism” presentation unveils the long-standing tradition of brewing and healing springs in Laško and Rimske Toplice. The museum exhibit “Geology of the Laško Area” showcases the rich natural heritage, explains the economic pulse of the town in the past, and offers inspiration for visiting nearby rural areas. Occasional thematic, painting, photographic, and other exhibitions enrich the cultural pulse of the town.
