According to the notification of the Hungarian Railways, from October 11 to 16, 2024, maintenance work will be carried out on the section of the Várpalota – Ajka – Várpalota line, so a rail replacement bus service will be organized. In the period from October 11 to 16, 2024, train 246 departs from Budapest Deli station at 8:30 a.m. (instead of 9:00 a.m.).

• on the route Várpalota – Veszprém – Várpalota, instead of trains 246, 247, a rail replacement bus service will be organized (buses marked “Vonatpótló autóbusz”)
• train 246 Budapest-Déli 08:30 – Várpalota 09:35 // replacement bus service for train 246: Várpalota 09:40 – Veszprém 10:04 // train 246 Veszprém 10:14 – Hodoš 12:59 – Ljubljana 16:42
• train 247 Ljubljana 09:30 – Hodoš 13:01 – Veszprém 15:45 // replacement bus service for train 247 Veszprém 15:52 – Várpalota 16:17) // train 247 Várpalota 16:24 – Budapest-Déli 17:29
• during the closure and replacement bus service, train 246 departs from Budapest Deli station at 8:30 a.m. (instead of 9:00 a.m.) in the period 11 – 16 October 2024.

In buses, there is no space that allows the transport of wheelchair users, bicycles or animals.
This may extend journey times on the routes affected.
