According to the notification of the Hungarian Railways, from October 7 to 10, 2024, maintenance work will be carried out on the section of the Várpalota – Ajka – Várpalota line, so a rail replacement bus service will be organized.

On the route Várpalota – Ajka – Várpalota, instead of trains 246 and 247, a rail replacement bus service will be organized (buses marked “Vonatpótló autóbusz”).

• replacement bus for train 246 on the route Várpalota (departure at 9:40 a.m.) – Ajka (arrival at 10:42 a.m.) and then train 246 on the route Ajka (departure at 10:49) – Hodoš (arrival at 12:59)
• train 247 on the route Hodoš (departure at 13:01) – Ajka (arrival at 15:10) and then a replacement bus for train 247 on the route Ajka (departure at 15:15) – Várpalota (arrival at 16:17).

In buses, there is no space that allows the transport of wheelchair users, bicycles or animals.
This may extend journey times on the routes affected.
