The Italian railways (Trenitalia) informed us that a strike has been announced on the Italian railways from Sunday 8 September 2024 (from 3 am) to Monday 9 September 2024 (until 2 am). Unless the strike is called off, train cancellations and delays are to be expected throughout Italy.

Disruption in railway traffic is to be expected even after the end of the strike.

Passengers who intend to travel to Italy during the specified period are informed about the announced strike and are advised to check before traveling on the websites of Italian Railways: Trenitalia and ViaggiaTreno which trains will actually run during the specified period.
