The best choice for everyday train travel.
Season tickets allow:
- unlimited travel across the entire Slovenian rail network (flat-rate season tickets), or
- unlimited travel on a specific route (route-specific season tickets).
for a specific validity period, with a choice between:
- Weekly tickets
are valid from Monday to Sunday inclusive, and can be purchased up to three days in advance (e.g. on Friday, to avoid crowds at sales outlets on Monday morning). - Monthly tickets
are valid from the first day of the month up until the first business day of the next month (Saturday is not considered a business day). - Annual and semi-annual tickets
are valid for six months or one year from the date of purchase. They can only be issued for return journeys.
You can also choose whether your ticket is valid for 2nd or 1st class travel.
All holders of standard and primary student season tickets, both annual and semi-annual, monthly and weekly tickets, also have the option of travelling on IC, EC, MV and ICS trains with no extra charge. The latter does not apply to holders of subsidised IJPP season tickets for train and bus. All season tickets are issued on a contactless chip card.
Standard monthly, semi-annual and annual tickets can be issued as personal or non-personal tickets, while weekly tickets can only be issued as non-personal tickets.
A passenger using a personal SŽ ticket must present an ID with a photo at the request of train accompanying staff or a ticket inspector.
