Two types of IJPP (integrated public passenger transport) weekend tickets are available, offering additional benefits when travelling by interurban public passenger bus and domestic rail transport.
Unified tickets allow public transport users to travel on the selected route with all types of vehicles (trains and buses) and transport operators.
Weekend family ticket
The Weekend family ticket is a group ticket that allows unlimited travel on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays (non-working days), for up to five consecutive days, on any route within the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.
- Weekend family ticket for up to 5 people: €15
One child under the age of 15 must be present at the time of purchase. In addition to the child, up to four other passengers may travel. - Weekend family ticket for up to 10 people: €30
One child under the age of 15 must be present at the time of purchase. In addition to the child, up to nine other passengers may travel.
Weekend ticket options
The Weekend ticket is valid on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays (non-working days). A 25% discount is applied to the regular fare according to the valid tariff. However, the discounted price of a single weekend ticket cannot be lower than the price of a single ticket for distances up to 5 km, which is €1.50.
- Single weekend ticket: 25% discount on the regular price of a single unified ticket for the selected route.
- Daily weekend ticket: Unlimited travel on a selected route on the day of validity, with a 25% discount on the regular price of a daily unified ticket.
- Single weekend ticket Slovenia: 25% discount on the regular price of a single ticket for routes over 150 km, valid on any route within Slovenia.
- Daily weekend ticket Slovenia: 25% discount on the regular price of a daily unified ticket for routes over 75 km, allowing unlimited travel on any route within Slovenia on the day of validity.
IJPP weekend tickets – 25% can be purchased:
- At our station ticket sales outlets. The ticket is issued on a non-personal IJPP chip card. Please check the IJPP ticket outlets at the Ticket sales outlets link.
- On board a train, if you board at a station where the ticket office is closed or not available. The ticket is issued on a non-personal IJPP chip card or route-specific season ticket. If the ticket is purchased on board a train where the ticket office is open at the time of boarding, a supplement of EUR 5.00 must be paid. On board the train, the ticket can only be purchased in cash.
- Online. Purchases can only be made with a non-personal IJPP chip card. When the ticket is purchased, it is loaded onto the card.
The IJPP chip card is issued at ticket sales outlets at railway stations. The card is valid for multiple purchases. Therefore, it is recommended to save it carefully and use it for future IJPP ticket purchases.
