First Minute Europe (FME) is a low-fare offer for journeys to Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic in 1st or 2nd Class coaches of international trains.

The number of available FME tickets is limited. FME ticket fares depend on the day of purchase and the selected route. Purchasing a FME ticket three or more days before the journey is more affordable than purchasing a ticket just a day or two before the intended journey. The exception is tickets for trips to Austria, which can also be purchased on the day of the trip, until the departure of the train.

With FME tickets for journeys to Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, children up to 15 years of age accompanied by parents or grandparents travel free of charge. For journeys to Germany and Hungary the age limit for free travel is 14 years of age.

FME tickets are valid for two days, and they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Seat reservation is not included in the ticket fare. Interruption of the journey is not allowed.

More information on FME ticket fares for individual destinations can be found under the “International travel” tab, while further information on other destinations that may be of interest to you is available at international ticket counters and info centres.
