Children’s discount in Slovenia
Travelling by train can be both fun and educational. Children under 6 six years of age inclusive travel free of charge, while those aged 6 to 15 get a 50% discount on all tickets.
Children under 6 years of age can travel free of charge provided they do not occupy a seat required by a fare-paying passenger. Please note a train ticket is needed regardless if a child is travelling free and can be obtained over the counter at a station ticket office. Up to two children may travel free of charge with one adult.
Children aged 6 to 15 inclusive, as well as children under 6 years of age who require a seat (nursery school groups) get a 50% discount on all First Class and Standard Class tickets in Slovenia.
